While she seems to have it all, Sophie Knight is looking for more. When gorgeous and carefree Michael Frisk walks into her life, he offers the excitement and passion she desires.

Sophie is willing to risk everything she has. After all, she is used to concealing things from her husband—like her alcoholism, her unhappiness. But soon she has more to hide. She wakes up one morning in an alcoholic haze and finds bruises on her body, but has no recollection of what happened to her. Was she raped?

When unsettling notes and mysterious phone calls start, Sophie wonders whom she should turn to. Is Michael the cause of the frightening things happening in her life, or is he the answer to her problems?

I took a long bath with Maria Callas playing in the background, emptying my mind. I put on a black long-sleeved skater dress, but as I inspected myself in the mirror, it seemed too provocative. I didn’t want to send the wrong message, so I changed into a different dress that wasn’t so short. I applied too much makeup which made me look like a tart, so I removed it and started again. My hands trembled as I drew on my eyeliner. I drank a glass of wine and took several drags of my cig to steady my nerves.
I went outside and hailed a taxi. I must have been out of my mind. The cabbie kept looking at me through the rear view mirror. I bet he knew what I was up to, or maybe not. I probably looked like a corporate woman heading for a meeting with a client.

I almost told the cabbie to turn around, but when I opened my mouth, nothing came out. Mama by Phil Collins was playing on the radio. Here I was on my way to meet a kid, who had seen me at my worst, if not at my most degrading. It wasn’t too late to change my mind. However, I didn’t change my mind when I paid and tipped the cabbie. I didn’t change my mind when I scanned the block of flats and rang the bell. I didn’t change my mind as I plodded along the corridor adjusting the hem of my dress.

When I arrived, Michael was leaning against the doorframe, waiting for me looking flawless in black, with long earrings dangling from his ears. I like how well dressed he is, unlike those boys who wear jeans under their buttocks – they make me want to pull them up for them. He led the way. It was too late to change my mind now.

He shut the door. I smiled, and he smiled back. With the back of my hand, I ran it across his cheek feeling the softness of his skin. A sexual wave built in my groin, I moved close enough that my lips almost brush against his. I was intoxicated by his beauty, his talent, his strangeness. It was so forbidden and sexy.

Title: Sniper
Series: Reed Security Series
Author: Giulia Lagomarsino
Genre: Contemporary Security Romance
Release Date: April 22, 2019

Chance “Sniper” Hendrix is all about a good time. He was married when he was serving as a Navy SEAL and it didn’t work out so well for him. When his wife left him, he decided that he was going to enjoy life and do what he loved. He knows that marriage can be good, but he just doesn’t want to go there again. He never intended to sleep with a stripper. He never intended to get involved in her life. But now that he has, there’s no turning back. But there’s nothing fun about the situation he just got himself into and there may be no way out.

Morgan James is searching for her missing daughter, Payton. After months of a dead end investigation, she takes matters into her own hands. Working as a stripper, she’s looking for a man named ‘The Broker’. He either has the information she needs or he’s the one behind the devious plot. She’ll do anything to get her daughter back, but in this tangled web of lies and manipulations, who can she trust?

“F&ck, man. You got a Whitworth Rifle?” I stood up so fast, my chair flew backward. I stalked over to Vanessa and tore the box from her hands. I laid the box on the table and took a deep breath before I opened the lid. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. Holding the Holy Grail would have been nothing compared to this.

“Give me some gloves,” I snapped. No one did anything for a minute, but when I glared around the room, Craig took off and was back just a minute later with a pair of gloves for me. I pulled them on and then ever so gently picked up the rifle.

“Vanessa, you don’t know what you have here. This magnificent weapon was designed by Joseph Whitworth in 1854. There were only thirteen thousand four hundred built between 1857 and 1865. Do you know how many of these still exist? There probably aren’t any left. This could be the very last original rifle in existence.”

I ran my hand over the gun lovingly, murmuring to myself. “49 inches in length with a 33-inch barrel. Fires two to three rounds per minute with an effective firing range up to a thousand yards, with a classic iron sights scope. F&cking beautiful.”

“Should we leave you two alone?” Jackson asked.

“You don’t know how amazing this is.”

“I do,” Cazzo cut in. “That’s why I bought it.”

“Yet, somehow you forgot to mention it to your wife,” Vanessa scolded.

“Now, sweetheart, this is a collectible. For how old it is and how rare, I got a great price.”

“Really? How much was it?”

“Just a few thousand dollars.”

“Oh,” Vanessa sighed in relief. “That really had me worried for a minute.”

“Baby, I would never go out and spend a ton of money without talking to you first.”
Vanessa smiled at him. “I know, Sam.” She walked forward, pulling out a piece of paper. “I was just really worried when I saw this bill for a Whitworth Rifle that was sold at auction for $161,000!”

I’m a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, “No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book.” I didn’t think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn’t already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven’t been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.

Vegas

At least, it sounded like a good idea at the time. I mean what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right?

Not so much.

Not when I make rash decisions and the whole world was there to catch my stupidity on camera. But this time…

This time, I took someone down with me and she didn’t deserve any of the sh*t being thrown her way.

The band is pissed I screwed up again.
She’s being unfairly hounded by the paparazzi.
I regret everything that’s happened.
What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay there.

But the bad press isn’t my fault. Things have to go right at some point.

Don’t they?

A week in Vegas sounded like exactly what I needed. Lights, bars, and women.
The pounding grew louder. I rolled my eyes and opened the link. Definitely the way to get my mind off of everything. I purchased the tickets for the last flight tonight. After a quick call to the Bellagio, I was set up in a suite for the next week.
I checked the time. I had enough to pack and get to the airport for my flight. I took a suitcase out of my closet.
“Dammit, Monty. Open the fucking door.”
Jackson could stand at the door all night and yell. It wasn’t stopping me from getting on that plane. I opened the suitcase on the bed and pulled the essentials out of my drawers. Within ten minutes, I had my clothes packed and walked into the en suite to grab the toiletries I’d need. The knocking still hadn’t stopped.
Dropping a few things for the plane ride into a bookbag, I zipped up both bags and ordered an Uber. Rolling my shoulders back, I tugged the bag off the bed and went to the door. I popped the lock and opened it to find the entire band standing in the hall outside my room.
“Fucking finally,” Jackson said. “I thought you were going to stay in there all night.”
I shrugged. “Nope. Gotta be somewhere.” I took a step forward, dragging the suitcase behind me.
Heath noticed the bag first. “Where are you going?”
“Away from all this.” I didn’t bother to stop on my way to the front door. Suddenly, it seemed they all had loads of time to spend together.
“Without telling us where you’re going?” Mari’s voice had taken on a tone we didn’t often hear and when you did you knew she was pissed.
I turned to look at all of them. “Why do I need to tell anyone? You all have your own lives and don’t check in with anyone when you make plans.”
Mari took a step forward, crossing her arms over her chest. “We do if we’re leaving for more than a night.”
“Well, times change.” She narrowed her eyes at me, but I kept going. “You guys have plans for the night and now so do I. I’m taking the week to relax far from here.”
“Just tell us where you’re going so we don’t worry,” Sawyer asked.
I clenched my teeth together. Did he mean worry about me or what I might do? “Vegas.”
Heath scoffed. “You really think you’re going to relax in sin city? You’d be better off on some tropical island.”
“And maybe I just want some fun.”
Jackson ran a hand through his hair. “Jesus, Monty. Vegas doesn’t sound like a good idea.”

“What? Do you think I need a babysitter?”
