Jamie Lawrence was the darling of the Australian tennis circuit.

For years, she did as she was told, smiled when she had to, and played to win so her parents and coach could live the lifestyle they wanted.

They didn’t care what she wanted or that she was unhappy playing the game she once loved. After a scary altercation that left her running for her life, Jamie hid her celebrity status and landed in a town where her happily ever after was waiting for her.

Would her well-meant game of secrecy, pretending to be someone she wasn’t, lose her the man who made her heart beat faster with just one touch?

Could their love survive the inferno and be ‘game, set, match’ in love?

I love the idea of being in love. Since my early teens when I first discovered Silhouette Desire novels my life has been all about reading. I would find myself re-writing scenes if I wasn’t happy with them and hiding them under my bed. That led me to writing love stories of my own. They all ended up under the bed and are still there, and there they will stay. I don’t do angst, in fact it drives me crazy.

I am a mum of three beautiful girls, Australian, and have what most say is a weird sense of humor.
I spend my free time doing movie, Sons of Anarchy, and Friends marathons. And reading.
I love Pina Colada’s and getting caught in the rain….. there’s that weird humor.

I need to get out of here and clear my head. I’ve been inundated with Desirae’s project and need a distraction to un-muddle my brain. It’s a massive undertaking encompassing the main house that features six private suites spread out throughout, with several levels from the basement up through three floors. Each suite has double walk-in closets, ensuite bathrooms, with either a sunken soaking tub or raised Jacuzzi. The main house has a dining hall that easily seats twelve people. We designed a formal living room on the main floor with a great room in the basement. The family room is on the second floor while the media room is on the third floor. Forget the fact that Des expects Andrea and I to design a state-of-the art gourmet kitchen, fit in a breakfast nook, and insert impressive aquariums to separate rooms rather than using basic walls. This place is going to be a functioning work of art by the time we’re done with it. Fortunately, the game room has been moved from the main house to the community building to ensure enough space to entertain everyone. Des wants an air hockey table while the guys want a pool table. Carina wants a projection screen on one wall so they can play video games while Jaxon wants old-school arcade machines in the corners.

That room alone is giving me a migraine.

I roll my shoulders trying to relax my body. Although I can find plenty of entertainment under the estate roof, it isn’t where I want to be. It’s hard being the odd man out nowadays. I have no wingman to hang out with. My best friend, Diego, is practically attached to the hip to Desirae; where there is one there is always the other. I don’t want to be the third wheel. Thanks, but no thanks. That leaves me looking for ways to entertain myself. I’m not one for nameless, sloppy sex. I’d rather have a casual, although consistent, fling than a carefree night spent with a stranger.

Desirae’s property is adjacent to Nic’s property and the estate. Combined, these two have close to 1000 acres. I mean who needs this much land? Apparently, they do. But I digress… Nic has made the most of his property. While the estate may be his heart and soul, he’s not hurting for money thanks to the stables, the hunting cabins, the shooting range, paintball field, spa retreat, and orchards that all generate revenue. The damn property is its own mini compound. Many staff members live in private cabins away from the hustle and bustle of the plethora of amenities and attractions. Nic is freaking self-sufficient growing fruits and veggies, while farming salmon, hunting game on the countless acres, and raising some livestock. All to provide gourmet meals to the estate, hot meals to hunters, and organic foods to those having a spa day.

Sheesh.

I slip through the hidden entrance of the massive hedge that separates her property from his. It’s quite a natural yet very effective border. The gnarly hedge ensures you can’t just slip through them. Security patrols along this side ensuring no unauthorized person gets through. Des is just as protective of her place as Nic is of his. Statues of naked gods and goddesses decorate the side of the estate’s private lawn while the back is more like a Garden of Eve. I walk aimlessly following the winding trail that heads toward the stables. The scent of hay and manure float on the breeze. It’s a pleasant change from the scent of sex and leather under Hedonism’s roof. There is only so much I can handle of the estate at any given time. Right now, I’m maxed out.

Horses nicker as I enter the stable. Already the load lightens from my shoulders as I pat the soft nuzzle of the dark brown horse in front of me. “Can I help you?” A soft feminine voice inquires. I peer around the horse to find an unfamiliar face staring back at me.

“Um” I stammer suddenly lost for words. She has short pixie-like hair with bright blue eyes that glitter even within the shadows of the stable. Her eyes widen in surprise as if she recognizes me. It’s entirely possible considering that I’m always with Diego and the girls. Personally-knowing the owner of the estate gives one a special kind of status.

“Did you have an appointment?” Her nose scrunches in the cutest way. She seems unsure of herself as she shifts from side-to-side. It’s then that I manage to move my eyes from her pretty face to her body. My pants tighten at the sight of her ample chest. Jaxon would say this girl has an impressive rack. Her tight jeans show off curvy hips and luscious thighs. Damn.

She arches her brows waiting.

“What?” Her question slowly processes through my lust-addled brain. “No” I belatedly reply, “I just come out here sometimes to groom them. I hope you don’t mind.”

“Wouldn’t a guy like you rather spend your time over there?” She flicks her thumb toward the estate. Immediately my hackles are up. Judge perfect strangers much?

“What I do with my time is my business” I snap. She flinches at my harsh words but what did she honestly expect?

“I’m sorry” she contritely replies. “It’s just that I usually don’t find guests here unless they have an appointment.” Her cheeks heat with embarrassment making me feel like a total douche.

“I’m the one that’s sorry” I sigh running my hands through my hair, “Just stressed out. You didn’t deserve that.”

“I guess we’re both sorry then” she smiles, and for a moment it reminds me of someone I used to know.

“I’m Griffin” I step away from the horse and approach her with my hand extended.

Her face pales for just a moment causing me to pause. I don’t want to scare her or anything. She finally extends her quivering hand and shakes mine. “I’m… m-my name is Dawn” she stutters.

“Beautiful name for a beautiful girl” I smile at her hoping to put her at ease. Her cheeks redden again. Damn this girl blushes easily.

“Thanks” she breathily replies. She looks around the stable at the horses. I’ve never seen her before, yet I feel like I know her somehow.

“Have we run into each other here before?” I blurt. I hate asking the whole do we know each other from somewhere since it might be considered a pick-up line.

“Here” she squeaks, “I haven’t worked at the stables for long.” She fidgets looking behind her. My dick presses against my zipper insisting that we should get to know her better. I can’t shake the feeling that I know her though. I want to ask more questions, but she looks ready to bolt or be on the verge of a panic attack. And even though she’s cute when she’s nervous I don’t want her to be uncomfortable around me.

“Do you like working at the stables?” I ask to defuse the situation. She’s acting more skittish than the horses.

“I’ve always loved horses” she strokes the magnificent black stallion next to her. “Mr. Reed put me in charge of the stables.”

“That’s wonderful” I genuinely praise. So many girls come to Nicholas in hopes of getting hired for the estate or the nightclub. He doesn’t have paid escorts on the ground but the things that happen within Hedonism come pretty-damn close.

“Thanks” she nods her head before heading to the corner of the stable. My eyes drift down to her backside. Damn those jeans fit her just right. I bite back a groan as she bends down to grab something. “So, you know how to properly groom them right?” She questions, completely oblivious to the scrumptious view she’s providing me.

“Yep” I croak hoping she doesn’t turn around while I adjust myself.

“Which should you use first?” She turns around holding two grooming items in her hand, but she doesn’t offer which is which. “Curry comb or dandy brush?”

“Curry comb” I reply motioning to the grooming tool with short teeth and a handle to slip our hands into.

“You passed” she smirks. She saunters my way with the curry comb in her hand. My mouth dries as her hips sway with each step. She passes me the comb completely oblivious to my reaction to her. “You earned the right to use the hoof pick” she mock exclaims.

I arch my brows not fooled at all by what she’s trying to do. I’m game though. I’ll pick out whatever muck is under the horse’s hooves if it buys me more time with her. “As long as you muck the stalls.” I fold my arms across my chest. Her eyes travel from my face to my torso. She blinks a few times before my words register with her.

Good, she’s affected too.

I flex my arms for good measure loving how her eyes devour me. I’m not built like Valentino and Rafe. I don’t even have the athletic build like Jaxon and Nicholas, but I’ve been told I’m easy on the eyes.

“I get paid to do that, so I don’t mind.” she finally has a comeback. She opens two stalls and leads the horses to me. She begins grooming one without saying another word. I pat the big guy in front of me and croon a few reassuring words as I slip the curry comb into my hand.

Dawn and I spend the next hour grooming the horses and giving them treats. It’s the best kind of meditation for me before I get back to work. Desirae is on our asses to get the main house completed before the start of their senior year of college. It’s a tight time schedule but I believe we can do it. Dawn might be the best kind of distraction. She’s a breath of fresh air. I look forward to getting to know her better.

Title: The Lady to Match a Rogue: Faith
Series: The Baggington Sisters #4
Author: Isabella Thorne
Genre: Sweet/Clean Regency Romance
Release Date: July 9, 2019

Faith only wanted to be taken seriously… She never meant for things to get so out of hand, but men get funny ideas when a woman wears trousers.
Miss Faith Bagginton and her twin sister, Hope, are the youngest of the Bagginton siblings. The family has high expectations for the twins’ entrance into society and their future marriages, but Faith Bagginton doesn’t want to be only half of a matched set, and marriage is the furthest thing from her mind.
Faith longs to be taken seriously as an author and a playwright. With the invention of the pseudonym, Mr. Emerson, and a letter to a London printer it seems her dream is at hand, but a mix-up will have Faith donning a masculine visage in more than just name.
Hijinks ensue when Faith, disguised as Mr. Emerson, secretly attends the Baron’s Ball. Complications threaten Faith’s scheme, Hope must take her twin’s place, and if anyone should find out both girls would be ruined!
To make matters worse Faith is falling in love with the handsome Oscar Titherington, a well know rake and troublemaker, who has taken a liking to the young playwright, and has no idea Emerson is really Faith.
As if that were not enough, the twins’ eldest brother Isaac returns from London ahead of schedule and has no idea what his sisters have been up too. The twins are used to playacting each other, but Faith discovers that dealing with society and twisted love triangles can get bit tricky when you are a gentleman who is really a lady.
A riotous regency romp about a dramatic, adventure seeking, bluestocking girl who finds herself at the center of a not-so-average love triangle.

Faith herself sighed at her own imaginings. She began to write again.

The Prince was a regal but unkind man…
“Behind!” a voice shouted the word with such an urgency that had at last caught Faith’s attention. She leapt to the side where she landed with an undignified flop in a nearby bush.

She expected at least a phaeton or carriage that could not give way to a lone walker but, no, it was nothing more than a beast of a rider racing past at a breakneck pace. A milder lady might have gasped aloud and offered a cry for help, but Faith was far too reactive for such gentle femininity. She shouted out in anger that the rider ought to watch where he was going and then she realized that she had dropped her journal in the mud, and her reticule was also thrown aside. Frantic, she reached for the bag, concerned that the neat and careful pages had received some harm.

The rider pulled his horse to an abrupt stop, and Faith thought what a thoughtless fellow he was to pull so on the horse’s mouth when indeed he should have had control of the animal from the outset. He turned the horse back towards where she had begun to scramble from her entrapment.

“Blast and botheration,” she muttered as she attempted to free herself from the brambles along the roadside. She managed to retrieve the reticule and clutched it close. The fabric of the bag was dirty, but the manuscript inside seemed intact. She brushed the dirt from the bag.

“I do apologize,” the gentleman said with surprising sincerity for the pace at which he had blown past on the first. “I have not seen a single living creature upon this lane for three days’ past, and I little expected to come upon a lady on foot when I crested the hill.”

It was clear from his expression that he expected a good scolding. Perhaps he was accustomed to such things, what with his wayward behavior. Faith was not one to leave him wanting.

“What sort of plague about the neighborhood are you?” she asked in a huff. “Are you not aware that this is a private lane? You have no business here, sir.”

The gentleman dismounted from his steed and bent to pick up the notebook which had flung itself open in a flurry of pages.

“Don’t you dare!” she cried thinking of the rough draft contained within. “Leave that be!” All the while Faith was struggling to extricate herself from the branches. The grasping fingers entwined themselves into the many folds of her cloak and her gown. She could even feel one such branch that had dug its tendrils into what had once been an elegant twist of hair at the base of her neck.

“Allow me to assist you.” The man offered with one hand outstretched. Faith eyed the offering warily and gave one more futile attempt to disentangle herself with any semblance of grace. It could not be done.

She swallowed the sigh that threatened to break free and accepted his hand with a muted word of thanks and a vengeful glare. She clutched her manuscript close while he reached forth with undeniable care and extricated her chignon from the tree limb that had accosted it. He snapped the twig between his fingers and worked it free of her hair. With a single heave he pulled her back to the safety of the lane so that she now stood beneath his prying gaze. She heard the fabric of the collar of her dress rip. Apparently, it had still been caught upon a branch.

“Oh blast and botheration,” she spat.

“Are you quite alright?”

She looked up. “Yes,” she muttered uncharitably. If she had thought the horse a beast, she had yet to consider the gentleman. Faith, was slightly on the smaller side of middling height for the female sex and she was unable to gaze above his shoulder. Rather, he stood more than a full head above her. She felt dwarfed. Dark, brooding features and windswept hair that she suspected would look in disarray even after a fresh trim gave him a troubled and roguish appearance, just like she imagined Cassondra’s captain of the guard. She shook herself out of the thought. She was not Cassandra, and he certainly was not her captain. Still, she thought, a man such as this lived on the cusp of life, ever chasing the next bout of excitement, much like the hero in a novel.

“Oscar Titherington, at your service,” he offered with a sweeping bow.

Faith’s eyes grew wide at the revelation. Faith’s assumption was not far from the truth. Oscar Titherington had broken more hearts than Faith would care to count. She recognized the name and could see that he had deduced as much from her expression. She snatched at her journal in his hand, but he was too quick for her. He held the treasured possession just out of her reach and offered her what she supposed he meant to be a charming smile.
Isabella Thorne is an author of Regency and Georgian Romance. The first grown-up books she read were historical, authored by Georgette Heyer, Victoria Holt and Anna Seton. Unfortunately, for her own daughters, the beauty and hallmark of Regency Romance, witty dialogue and the manners of the time, have been overshadowed by explicit books instead of true Regency Romance. Regency Romance includes a more formal language, longer sentences and ballrooms instead of bedrooms.

With a return to romance, Isabella Thorne hopes you will enjoy her light fun books. You can share them with your daughters with the guarantee that although there is romance aplenty, and a bit of sexual tension and a kiss, there is nothing explicit in her books. They are clean and wholesome reads with lots of humor and upbeat “fun poking” at the English mannerisms of the time.

Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Dads of Seattle. Ten sexy single fathers who play poker every Saturday night, have each other’s backs, love their children without quarter, and hope to one day find love again.
This is Adam’s story …

Single Dad of Seattle, Adam Eastwood, knows that dance school is just the thing for his precocious daughter, Mira. She already spends most days twirling around the house in a tutu and tiara, why not pay a professional to teach her how to do it properly? Only Adam didn’t account for that professional to be the Violet Benson from a very famous New York ballet company. Not only is Violet a natural beauty who floats more than she dances, but she’s the kind of woman Adam’s been searching for all his life.

Grieving the loss of her dance partner and boyfriend, Violet is done with performing on stage. How can she go on when the love of her life is no longer there to catch her? Deciding a change is best, she moves back home to Seattle, determined to fulfill their dream of opening up a dance school. It’s not until she’s asked to dance for Art in the Park that she realizes maybe she’s not quite ready to hang up her dance shoes. Would it be wrong to take the stage one last time? It must be wrong to feel what she feels when she’s dancing with Mira’s handsome father.

Adam’s wounds are still fresh from his divorce, and Violet’s dealing with a loss of her own, but somehow they keep winding up in each other’s arms with neither of them willing to let go. But it’s never easy to conquer the past.

Will Violet let fear and grief keep her from her dreams? Or will Adam convince her that the show must go on and dancing with the single dad might just be the way for her to find her happily ever after?

**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you.

He’d only known Violet for a week, but there was something special about her. She had a softness to her, a calmness and class that he was missing in his life.

“You’re a really great dance partner,” she whispered, her fingers tightening on his shoulder.

“Helps when the woman you’re dancing with knows the steps. Knows how to move.”

He hadn’t removed his hand from her cheek. She didn’t seem to mind. In fact, she leaned into his touch, her eyelids dropped to half-mast, and a small smile drifted across her mouth. “Thank you for everything tonight. It’s been a nice birthday. I needed something like this.”

He brought their clasped hands down to their sides and instead wrapped his arm around her waist, his hand falling to the small of her back, fingers splaying against her slender frame. “You deserve a happy birthday,” he said softly, his gaze sliding to her plump, red lips. Her tongue darted out and ran along the seam, moistening them and making them shine. Adam had to push down the groan inside him that wanted to break free.

Her lips parted. Was it an invitation?

He wanted it to be an invitation.

He wanted her to welcome his lips, his kiss, his body. Welcome him to wrap his arms around her and absorb the hurt, give her nothing but happiness. She deserved happiness. They all did.

“Adam … ” she whispered. Their faces were close enough now he could feel small, warm puffs of air from her breath on his chin. She lifted her gaze to his. Her bright eyes, the color of hanging moss, were warm and curious.

He dipped his head low and tightened his hold on her cheek and back. She didn’t resist him. Instead she melted into his arms, her body seeming to find comfort in his strength, in his closeness. At least, that’s what he hoped. Gently, he tilted her head up to give him better access to her mouth. Again, she didn’t resist. Her eyes fluttered shut and her lips parted. He took his opening and brushed his lips against hers.

Her pulse raced wildly under his thumb where it rested against her neck, and when a soft moan slid up her throat, the vibration of it ran right through him, landing firmly between his legs. Her chest expanded rapidly against his. But again, she didn’t pull away. No, she wrapped her arms around his neck and deepened the kiss, opening for him, allowing him to slip his tongue inside to explore and taste. She met his demands with her own, sucking on his tongue and nibbling on his bottom lip. The woman could kiss.

Adam’s hand slipped down from her cheek to wrap more tightly around her back, supporting her as he bent her low, taking what she offered. She went with him, clinging to him with an almost frantic desperation.

They fed off each other, their tongues tangling, their breath mingled. She whimpered into his mouth, and he took the kiss deeper. Her legs parted slightly when he dipped her, and he wedged a knee between them, feeling the heat of her against his thigh. He pressed against the V of her legs, and she ground up against him. He pressed again. She bucked up harder. He was hard as granite, and she knew it. She also didn’t seem to mind.

A Canadian West Coast baby born and raised, Whitley is married to her high school sweetheart, and together they have two beautiful daughters and a fluffy dog. She spends her days making food that gets thrown on the floor, vacuuming Cheerios out from under the couch and making sure that the dog food doesn’t end up in the air conditioner. But when nap time comes, and it’s not quite wine o’clock, Whitley sits down, avoids the pile of laundry on the couch, and writes.

A lover of all things decadent; wine, cheese, chocolate and spicy erotic romance, Whitley brings the humorous side of sex, the ridiculous side of relationships and the suspense of everyday life into her stories. With single dads, firefighters, Navy SEALs, mommy wars, body issues, threesomes, bondage and role-playing, these books have everything we need to satisfy the curious kink in all of us.
